About the role
Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government. Define the nature and extent of problems, analyze relevant data, interview managers and employees, develop solutions, understand organizational context, prepare and solve mathematical models, and report findings and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Define the nature and extent of problems
- Analyze relevant data, including annual revenues, employment, or expenditures
- Interview managers and employees while observing their operations
- Develop solutions to problems
- Understand the nature of the organization, its relationship with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture
- Prepare and solve mathematical models
- Report findings and recommendations to the Government
- Prepare reports in writing, and sometimes orally, regarding findings
- In some cases, assist in implementing suggested changes through management of contractors/subordinates
Requirements
- Individuals must possess a Bachelor’s of Science or Arts Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience as outlined below:
- Three (3) years+ of experience with NAVY and N-ERP solutions
- Ten (10) years+ of experience with managing Department of Defense Logistics, including Sponsor Owned Material (SOM) or OM&S
- Four (4) years+ of experience in inventory management
Skills
- Working knowledge of DoD FMR Volume 4, Chapter 4, DoN Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) Statement of Assurance, and SECNAV INSTRUCTION 4440.33
Qualifications
- Clearance: Favorably adjudicated PSI at a Tier 3 (T3) level
