Senior Supervisor Mine Operations

Responsibilities

• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
• Cookinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
• A bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures needed to complete projects.
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
