Senior Supervisor Mill Maintenance
About the Location
Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offer housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere, and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course, and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
- Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
- Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
- Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriate federal and state laws and regulations.
- Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
- Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales.
- Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in a technical mining-related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
- Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
- Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
- Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures needed to complete projects.
- Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring, and administration.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam and all required training and/or testing. Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation. Pay
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $97,500 - $138,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
