Senior Subcontract Lead
About the role
Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Subcontract Lead to manage supplier relationships and drive performance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Autonomous holistic end-to-end management of assigned suppliers
- Drive supplier performance (inventory, quality, delivery)
- Build and maintain excellent collaborative supplier relationships
- Support factory needs and engage in contractual negotiations
- Manage daily/weekly supplier management and conversion of demand signals into Compliant Purchase Orders
- Coordinate with Functional Areas Operations (Manufacturing, A&T, Planning) for buffer strategies, forecast validations, and procurement methods
- Evaluate supplier performance, identify and mitigate risks, lead supplier recovery and improvement activities
- Drive cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective actions for continuous supplier improvement
- Provide input, support, and lead supplier selection, negotiation, and development activities
- Operate with urgency and ensure continuity of supply from assigned suppliers
- Collaborate and influence multiple functions, geographic regions, and cultures to achieve global end-to-end supply chain performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred in engineering, supply chain, or business
- Greater than 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering roles
- Experience in managing and developing supplier/customer relationships and procurement processes
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving analysis
- Industry and discipline certifications (APICS, CPM, PMP) preferred
Qualifications
- Proven track record of successful supplier management and relationship building
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Buffalo, NY
- Flexibility to travel approximately 20% of the time

Pay
Buffalo, NY: $85,000.00–$125,000.00 Annually
