Senior Stylist

Role Overview

You will play an essential part in the smooth running of our boutique and a seamless client journey. With this responsibility in mind, you will need to have an authentic approach with clients and demonstrate strong communication skills. We are looking for individuals who are naturally proactive and take initiative. We operate significantly on a private appointment basis, so having a hands-on and hard-working approach is key. The existing team would welcome a co-operative colleague, who contributes in all daily operations and additional projects. As a Senior Stylist, you will also be required to support the management team with additional tasks. An ALAÏA Senior Stylist is an ambassador of the Maison, in charge of welcoming every guest into the ALAÏA family. They are a trustworthy advisor to clients and a reliable partner to managers of the store.

Responsibilities

• Achieving Sales & KPIs
  • Reach weekly / monthly store targets with the team
  • Increase average basket in quantity and value (UPT, VPT)
  • Develop cross-selling opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of RTW and Accessories construction and vocabulary to tell the story of the ALAÏA world
• Client Relationship & Portfolio Development
  • Cultivate exceptional client relationships with international clients to maintain and enhance the client loyalty of their current portfolio
  • Establish action plans and strategies to increase and develop your client base—upgrade high potentials and regain lost clients
  • Ask open questions to engage clients to talk, listen to their needs and gather the right information to make the sale in order to ensure clients return
  • Participate in client events as well as high ticket client events and/or actions
  • Resolve client issues when they arise by promptly investigating the opportunities and root causes, proposing solutions and escalating to hierarchy potential roadblocks and recommendations to drive excellence in client service
• Client Service Excellence
  • Bring to life the ALAÏA client experience
  • Represent the highest standards and promote ALAÏA’s name and image within the Boutique and keep the integrity alive
  • Welcome clients in the boutique, over the phone and by e-mail according to ALAÏA guidance and standards
  • Develop a client book and update the client database
  • Nurture client loyalty through excellent service and treatment
  • Reinforce clientele relationships with consistent follow-up
• Boutique Operations & Visual Merchandising
  • Take part actively in team meetings, events, regular inventory counts and all daily operations as required
  • Respect and ensure the highest standards of Visual Merchandising in line with the Boutique guidance
  • Ensure the Boutique is kept tidy, clean and welcoming at all times
  • Respect and apply security rules and mindset (local and Maison security rules)
  • Participate in management of cashier duties to complete a sale
  • Take care of the cash desk
  • Take the deposits and manage pre-orders
• Brand Ambassador
  • Maintain an excellent level of product knowledge, understanding products and trends, collections to tell the story of ALAÏA
  • Follow the ALAÏA Grooming standards at all times whilst representing the Maison
  • Work closely as part of a team and with partners of the Maison
  • Be truly engaged in the ALAÏA Maison; understand the Maison's heritage & values

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in luxury retail; fashion, accessories and RTW oriented
• Previous experience in retail sales and operations
• Strong sales techniques and clienteling—must have a strong client base
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are required
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong drive to succeed—proactive approach
• Ability to sit down and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 20 lb boxes regularly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email is required

Pay

Expected Hourly Range: $27–$31. Salary will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
