About The Opportunity

Our client is an award-winning and fast-growing AEC firm seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its dynamic engineering consulting team. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a technical expert, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop innovative engineering solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business growth while working on projects for both public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead structural engineer on projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop innovative, practical engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Cookordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience designing a variety of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and IBC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with structural engineering and drafting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, EnerCalc, BIM modeling tools, and related design software.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, job site safety practices, and willingness to perform site visits as needed.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to continue professional development.
