Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

TERRA Engineering, Ltd. seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves applying diverse and innovative techniques, overseeing project designs, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project proposals, client interviews, and stakeholder presentations
• Determine project team and staffing requirements
• Contribute to and supervise design concepts, studies, and design options
• Perform complex analyses and design calculations
• Document design procedures and ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Prepare and review design documents, including plans, specifications, and utility coordination
• Coordinate permit requirements and construction administration activities
• Supervise close-out documentation processes and identify lessons learned
• Create and enforce TERRA standards and guidelines
• Contribute to marketing materials and recruitment processes
• Mentor and train staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field from an ABET/EAC-accredited program
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Preferred additional credentials such as CFM, CPESC, ENV SP, LEED AP, etc.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with computer-aided design software and other engineering tools
• Strong project management and leadership abilities
• Ability to conduct site visits and maintain health and safety protocols
