About the role

Middough Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Merrillville, IN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural engineering and be responsible for designing and analyzing structures to ensure safety and compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for various projects
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions
• Ensure all designs meet safety and regulatory requirements
• Prepare detailed design documents and reports
• Conduct site visits and inspections as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Experience with steel, concrete, and composite materials
• Understanding of seismic and wind loads
• Knowledge of building codes and standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
