Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis efforts for a variety of building types and structural systems.
- Manage projects and serve as a technical resource for clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
- Develop and review calculations, engineering reports, and construction documents.
- Cook up with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings throughout project development and construction.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field conditions during construction.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of engineering work.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers through technical development and project guidance.
- Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on building design.
- Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and other common structural systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and industry best practices.
- Ability to lead projects while collaborating effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or leading engineering teams.
- Client management and business development exposure.
- Working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows.
- Experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM, Tekla Structural Designer, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, or similar platforms.
