Senior Structural Engineer
About the role
A Senior Structural Engineer for Building Design position is available at Little, a dynamic, international design firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in various project types including civic/government, financial services, retail, high tech/R&D, healthcare, office, interior renovation, higher education, and education projects. This role involves serving as the structural lead on projects, coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients, conducting design reviews, and providing guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the structural lead on projects, managing scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and risk assessments.
- Use your passion for innovative design, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- 8+ years of professional experience.
- Professional Licensure.
- Strong proficiency with Revit.
- Maintain technical competence by staying current on appropriate codes and technologies.
- Thorough understanding of advanced engineering principles and calculations.
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, specifications, and construction administration.
- Familiarity with Design Software (RAM, RISA 3D, ADAPT-Builder, Enercalc).
Qualifications
- You are curious and creative, have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and able to collaborate in a team setting.
- Passion for sustainability (LEED Accredited a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills
- Advanced engineering principles and calculations.
- Construction documentation, specifications, and construction administration.
- Design Software (RAM, RISA 3D, ADAPT-Builder, Enercalc).
