Responsibilities

  • Lead and design facilities such as water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities for water and wastewater plants and conveyance and storage systems.
  • Develop project specific technical reports, calculations, construction drawings and technical specifications with the support of local and national experts.
  • Work with a variety of smart and 3D software tools.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working as a structural engineer.
  • Professional Engineer, (P.E.) license or Structural Engineer, (S.E.) licensed in Hawaii, or eligible to obtain license through reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis with a Masters degree in structural engineering highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with municipal or industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
  • Alternatively, heavy civil (dams and hydro-electric), industrial or mining experience will be considered.
  • Construction phase support services for the types of projects listed above.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline project teams.
  • Team oriented with strong capability to learn, mentor, and work independently while managing time and budget.
  • Experience with structural design and analysis software (STAAD.PRO, TEDDS, SAP2000, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, Mathcad).
  • Experience with office programs (WORD, EXCEL, OneNote, Teams) and review software (Bluebeam).

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
