Senior Structural Engineer
About the role
We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who can serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects. You'll resolve problems of greater scope and complexity, possess strong analytical skills, and use advanced software like ETABS, SAFE, Perform 3D, RAM Structural System, and Ensoft.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity
- Possess strong analytical skills including Dynamic analysis, non-linear analysis, and deep foundation design
- Strong software skills such as ETABS, SAFE, Perform 3D, RAM Structural System, and Ensoft
- Plan and develop projects or design activities
- Plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians
- Serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of position
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasis
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasis
- Experience in design calculations and layouts
- Experience in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software
- Experience in performing design calculations and layouts
- Experience in designing and detailing in steel, concrete, masonry and wood
- Experience in understanding gravity analysis and lateral analysis
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
