Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the structural integrity of various projects. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure all structural elements meet safety and aesthetic standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and review structural plans for new construction projects
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
• Oversee the implementation of structural solutions and provide technical guidance
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure structural integrity
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and findings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in applicable state(s)
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with steel, concrete, and composite structures
• Understanding of seismic design and wind engineering principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software
