About the role

BakerRisk’s Protective Structures Section evaluates and designs structures exposed to extreme loading conditions such as blast, thermal, and high-velocity impacts. We design buildings to protect people in hazardous working environments, contain the effects of accidental explosions in manufacturing bays, and collaborate with government agencies to design spaces that protect occupants from hostile threats. Our approaches are validated through research, testing, and investigation of catastrophic events. BakerRisk operates two test facilities where both scale and full-scale testing of building structures is completed.

This full-time Senior Blast Resistant Structural Engineer position is available in our San Antonio or Houston office. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership on complex structural engineering projects involving blast-resistant design, protective structures, explosive safety applications, forensic investigations, structural testing, and advanced numerical analysis. The role offers opportunities to work on significant projects for industrial, government, defense, and commercial clients while contributing to the growth of BakerRisk’s technical capabilities.
