About the role
At USAA, we are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Senior Strategy Consultants. This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic leadership to drive profitable growth in business areas.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of long-term vision and direction
- Conduct internal consulting projects focused on strategy development, growth, organizational design, and business transformation
- Play a key role in developing and communicating our plan
- Build relationships with leaders and partners across the organization to influence and align actions
- Maintain and monitor progress of strategic initiatives
- Mentor and develop teammates
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Engineering or Science discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of strategy consulting, corporate or business unit strategy or relevant work experience; or an Advanced Degree in Business or STEM and 4 years of strategy consulting, corporate or business unit strategy or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and provide clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
- Skilled in analyzing data to draw conclusions and inform strategic decisions.
- Proven track record in project management.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
- Military experience may be considered relevant experience for this role.
- Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, life insurance, or retail banking is helpful, but not required.
- An MBA from a top business school is preferred; advanced degrees or equivalent experience and a strong academic record are also valued.
- Professional experience, including consulting internships, is desirable; prior strategic planning, business development, or project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and manage multiple demands.

Pay
The salary range for this position is: $114,080- $218,030.

This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, and Charlotte, NC.
