Senior Strategy and Operations Lead

About the role

This position owns key processes such as annual planning, metrics and dashboard development, leadership reporting, and executive decision support. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who excels at translating data into insights, building performance frameworks, and creating executive-level narratives that drive leadership decision-making. They leverage AI tools as a core part of their workflow — accelerating analysis, improving quality, and scaling output without sacrificing rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning & performance management: Support annual planning processes, including development and monitoring of goals and OKRs, and ensure alignment of priorities across the marketing function. Use AI tools to synthesize inputs across teams, surface gaps in goal coverage, and draft scenario analyses faster.
  • Metrics & dashboard development: Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards and reporting systems that provide timely visibility into marketing performance and business outcomes. Apply AI to automate recurring data pulls, generate narrative commentary on trends, and flag anomalies before leadership reviews.
  • Executive decision support: Conduct detailed analyses to generate data-driven insights and actionable recommendations. Leverage AI to accelerate research, competitive benchmarking, and first-draft synthesis — then apply your judgment to shape the final recommendation.
  • Leadership meeting preparation: Coordinate and develop materials for QBRs, leadership meetings, board presentations, and strategic planning sessions. Use AI to draft agendas, generate pre-read summaries, and track follow-through on action items and escalations.
  • Executive-level narrative development: Create clear, compelling presentations, reports, and strategic communications that translate complex data into executive-ready stories. Use AI to draft initial narrative structures and slide language, then refine for tone, accuracy, and audience.
  • Operational excellence: Partner with the Chief of Staff and senior leaders to streamline planning processes and improve operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to embed AI into recurring workflows — reducing manual overhead while maintaining rigorous tracking of goals and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, finance, operations, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business operations, performance management, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Prominent track record driving complex, cross-functional projects from ambiguity to execution
  • Proven expertise building metrics frameworks, dashboards, and performance reporting systems
  • Strong experience with annual planning processes, OKR management, and strategic goal-setting
  • Prominent track record developing executive-level presentations and narratives that drive leadership decisions
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) as part of day-to-day work — for research, drafting, summarization, and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) a plus
  • Strong executive presence with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output — knowing when to use it, when to push back, and how to add the human judgment that makes the difference
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple strategic priorities under tight deadlines
  • Experience supporting C-suite or senior leadership strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with marketing operations or technology industry a plus
