Overview

The Office of Health Programs (OHP) serves as the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy’s central office for health program implementation and oversight. OHP protects Americans and enhances U.S. security and prosperity by providing technical leadership and award management for lifesaving global health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to foster collaboration and partnership

  • Support strategic external communication for the innovation fund, including messaging, outreach, and visibility

  • Provide technical coordination and planning for innovation fund activities and investments

  • Prepare reports, briefings, and communication materials for stakeholders and leadership

  • Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and recommend improvements

Qualifications

  • Expertise in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement

  • Experience with innovation fund management and technical coordination

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and partnership-building skills

  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration

  • Analytical skills for planning and evaluating strategic initiatives

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, International Development, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program management, including experience with innovation funds or similar mechanisms

Deliverables

  • Strategic initiative and engagement plans

  • External communication strategies and materials for the innovation fund

  • Technical coordination and planning documents

  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership summaries

  • Progress reports and a final summary report detailing achievements, challenges, and recommendations

Washington, DC

Clearance

Secret clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers

  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to walk for extended periods throughout the work day including moving between buildings and covering long distances by foot

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $165,500 - $183,500.
