About the role
The Business Strategic Solutions Manager serves as both a strategic consultant and solution delivery leader. This role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, assessing current-state operations, designing future-state solutions, and driving implementation across people, process, data, and technology. The individual will partner directly with clients and internal teams to lead transformation initiatives spanning marketing operations, supply chain, retail execution, customer experience, business intelligence, automation, and digital enablement.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to identify operational pain points and transformation opportunities.
- Audit current-state processes, systems, organizational structures, and governance models.
- Develop future-state operating models, process improvements, and technology recommendations.
- Create executive-level business cases, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations.
- Support clients through organizational change and transformation initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders and internal leadership teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of business process improvement, automation, analytics, and technology initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, user stories, workflows, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate across business teams, technology partners, developers, analysts, and project managers.
- Drive solution delivery from discovery through deployment and adoption.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout project execution.
- Ensure successful adoption and measurable business outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate executive steering committees, governance meetings, and working sessions.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day strategic advisor for assigned accounts.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and align priorities across cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities for additional value creation and business growth.
- Analyze operational, financial, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop KPI frameworks, reporting structures, and performance measurement approaches.
- Support dashboard development and business intelligence initiatives.
- Utilize SQL, reporting tools, and analytics platforms to generate actionable insights.
- Translate complex data into meaningful business recommendations.
- Evaluate technology platforms, integrations, automation opportunities, and digital capabilities.
- Support technology assessments, build-vs-buy decisions, and vendor evaluations.
- Partner with technical teams to define requirements and implementation approaches.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, AI solutions, and digital transformation trends.
- Drive innovation initiatives that improve efficiency, visibility, and business outcomes.
- Mentor analysts, consultants, and project team members.
- Provide coaching on consulting skills, client engagement, and analytical problem solving.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Support the development of methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Support proposal development, solution design, and client presentations.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Assist in developing Statements of Work (SOWs), project estimates, and business cases.
- Contribute to thought leadership and practice development initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to support revenue growth objectives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, digital transformation, business process improvement, technology implementation, business intelligence, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- Experience leading client-facing projects and transformation initiatives.
- Strong business process mapping and requirements gathering capabilities.
- Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AI models, databases, reporting tools, or analytics platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in management consulting, operational consulting, or transformation consulting.
- Experience supporting Marketing Operations, Supply Chain, Retail, CPG, or Manufacturing clients.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP (ERP), or workflow platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, or change management methodologies.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools.
- Exposure to AI, automation, and digital transformation programs.
- Experience managing offshore or third-party delivery partners.
