Senior Stop Loss Account Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day activity associated with stop loss accounts, providing support to policyholders, brokers, and program sponsors.
  • Serve as a liaison between brokers and BAH claim and finance departments.
  • Prepare and manage policies, agreements, endorsements, and their execution.
  • Update and customize implementation manuals for new clients.
  • Perform monthly premium reconciliation and tracking.
  • Create and maintain claims folders, saving all relevant documents such as policies, fee schedules, DOFR’s, and disclosure files for claim adjudication.
  • Manage Managed Care Submissions: download RFP’s, review for missing data, follow up with brokers, and maintain the MC quote log for tracking.
  • Set up renewals.
  • Act as Auditor Liaison: coordinate documentation of MC processes, workflow, premium tracking, and other required documentation with internal and external auditors.
  • Perform as-needed tasks, such as calculating retained and aggregate corridors for claims, tracking experience refunds, and coordinating with actuarial to confirm calculations and eligibility.
  • Manage special projects and vendor relationships for the division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Account Management and Stop Loss.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with brokers, clients, and service vendors.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. This role may be based in one of the following offices: Hamilton, NJ; West Hartford, CT; or Harleysville, PA.
