Senior Stop Loss Account Specialist

About the role
As a Senior Stop Loss Account Specialist for the Managed Care business, you will handle the day-to-day activity associated with our stop loss accounts, providing support to policyholders, brokers, and program sponsors, as well as reporting to the AVP, Underwriting/Managed Care. You will also be responsible for special projects and managing vendor relationships for the division.
This role will be based in one of our offices: Hamilton, NJ; West Hartford, CT; or Harleysville, PA. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.
Responsibilities
- Managed Care Submissions – download all RFPs, review submissions for missing data, and follow up with brokers to acquire it. Maintain the MC quote log to track all RFPs and set up renewals.
- Broker Interface – prepare all policies, agreements, and endorsements, and track and coordinate their execution. Serve as the broker liaison with BAH claim and finance departments.
- Implementation Manual updates and customization for new clients.
- Monthly premium reconciliation and tracking.
- Create and maintain claims folders—save all documents such as policies, fee schedules, DOFRs, and disclosure files for claim adjudication.
- Auditor Liaison – work with internal and external auditors to coordinate documentation of MC processes and workflow, premium tracking, and other required documentation.
- As-needed tasks, such as providing calculations of retained and aggregate corridors for claims, tracking experience refunds due, and coordinating with actuarial to confirm calculations and eligibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Account Management and Stop Loss.
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong consulting and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with brokers, clients, and service vendors.
