About the role
The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of sterile processing supplies. The Senior Sterile Processing Technician must be able to decontaminate and assemble surgical instrumentation using an automated Instrument Tracking System. Selects appropriate method of sterilization, verify parameters, and document sterility accurately and appropriately.

Requirements
- Completion of formal Central Services Technician or Sterile Processing Technician course or successfully challenged Course test
- 5 years of Experience in sterile processing, central services, or surgical supply and equipment environment

- National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
