Senior / Staff Nurse (MAH Day Surgery OT)

About the role

You will work alongside the Nursing Leaders to deliver patient-centred and compassionate nursing care to our patients in the Day Surgery Operating Theatre.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon(s) during operative procedures, mostly Eye Surgery.
• Ensure that appropriate documentation is completed.
• Carry out Scrub/AU nurse responsibilities in accordance with procedures.
• Coordinate with other units, escort, and orient patients to ensure safe and seamless transport and transfer.
• Provide post-operative recovery care.
• Participate in the review of nursing protocols, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Strong team-player, self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, agility, and perseverance in building a performance-driven and engaging culture.
• Able to commit to a 5-day work week (off on Sunday and public holidays) and work on-call duties.
• Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.
• Candidates with no prior Operating Theatre (OT) experience who are interested in pursuing OT specialisation are welcome to apply.
