Staff Nurse- PRN (11:00am - 11:00pm) - Day Hospital/Outpatient Surgery

About the role

This PRN position supports the Day Hospital/Outpatient Surgery unit. You will float to assist in other like units as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
• Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Precept and mentor novice employees to contribute to department performance.
• Support hospital-system initiatives and cultivate nursing-involved Evidence-Based Practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal-setting and participation in educational offerings.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (AHA certification only).
• Registered Nurse licensure.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
