Senior Staff Nurse – Chemotherapy Day Unit

About the role

As a Senior Staff Nurse in the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Private Care at Guy’s, London, you will support people through complex cancer treatments in a compassionate and professional manner. You will work in a modern unit rated Outstanding by the CQC, providing care in a calm, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment
• Lead and support the day-to-day running of the unit
• Assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to a varied patient group, including oncology and haematology patients receiving complex chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and non-oncology infusions
• Guide and mentor colleagues
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure consistently high standards of care

Requirements

• A current NMC registration
• Proven experience working as a Band 6 chemotherapy nurse for at least 12 months
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience administering SACT within a chemotherapy setting
• Strong clinical skills and confidence managing complex treatments within oncology or haematology
• Experience of shift leading, with the ability to support, coach, and develop others
• A commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and high-quality care

Qualifications

NMC registration, proven experience as a Band 6 chemotherapy nurse, and strong clinical skills are required.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week (10-hour shifts across 4 days, between 8am–8pm).
