Senior/Staff Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of Flycar, our restaurant payments terminal used by thousands of restaurants.
• Build interfaces that work reliably across various Fast Casual (FSR) and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environments with inconsistent hardware, spotty networks, and diverse Point of Sale (POS) configurations.
• Drive frontend architecture decisions, shaping how we build rather than just what we build.
• Debug real-time payment flows spanning our terminal, mobile app, and backend services.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with real-time data (WebSockets, polling) and graceful degradation on unreliable networks.
• Track record of shipping software where failure has immediate, visible consequences, such as in payments, POS, fintech, or similar domains.
• Strong ownership instincts in a small, fast-moving team where scope is fluid.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with payments infrastructure, POS systems, or restaurant/hospitality tech.
• Background in multi-tenant systems or hardware-constrained environments (terminals, kiosks).
• Exposure to blockchain, crypto, or web3.
• Experience with Datadog, Amplitude, or similar observability/analytics platforms.
