Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, collaborating with families, providers, and health plans to ensure quality care is accessible.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications, microservices, and APIs that enable high scalability and performance
• Implement third-party integrations and external APIs to enhance the platform's capabilities
• Ensure backend systems are secure, well-documented, and thoroughly tested
• Develop, test, and deliver client-facing, production-ready features
• Collaborate effectively with a cross-disciplinary, remote Product Engineering team
• Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
• Estimate product scope and timelines
• Jump in to work on various parts of the stack as needed

Requirements

• Deep understanding and experience with cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, data integrations
• Collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design
• Experience with modern technologies (NodeJS/Typescript, AWS, Terraform, React)
• Strong understanding and value for all the layers of a production system including data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
• Experience building highly scalable and performant backend services
• Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
• Experience in healthcare/virtual care
• FHIR experience a plus

Qualifications

• Passion and commitment to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve
• Understanding of web/mobile use cases and willingness to jump into different parts of the stack when needed

• Base salary range of $160,000 - $180,000
