About the role
Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, collaborating with families, providers, and health plans to ensure quality care is accessible.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend applications, microservices, and APIs that enable high scalability and performance
- Implement third-party integrations and external APIs to enhance the platform's capabilities
- Ensure backend systems are secure, well-documented, and thoroughly tested
- Develop, test, and deliver client-facing, production-ready features
- Collaborate effectively with a cross-disciplinary, remote Product Engineering team
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
- Estimate product scope and timelines
- Jump in to work on various parts of the stack as needed
Requirements
- Deep understanding and experience with cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, data integrations
- Collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design
- Experience with modern technologies (NodeJS/Typescript, AWS, Terraform, React)
- Strong understanding and value for all the layers of a production system including data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
- Experience building highly scalable and performant backend services
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
- Experience in healthcare/virtual care
- FHIR experience a plus
Qualifications
- Passion and commitment to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve
- Understanding of web/mobile use cases and willingness to jump into different parts of the stack when needed
Skills
- Passionate about reimagining pediatric health care
- Experience with NodeJS/Typescript
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with React
- Experience with FHIR

- Base salary range of $160,000 - $180,000
