This is a senior technical leadership role within SlingWorks, one of Elbit America’s most advanced engineering teams focused on next-generation targeting and mission-system technologies. As a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a technical authority for complex electrical architectures and board-level system design while remaining hands-on throughout the full hardware lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of complex electrical and board-level designs, including schematic capture, part selection, interface definition, and system partitioning
- Provide system-level leadership across electrical domains, including digital, analog, power, and mixed-signal subsystems
- Lead integration of processors, sensors, high-speed digital interfaces, and supporting electronics into cohesive electrical architectures
- Define FPGA electrical integration strategy at the interface and system level (no RTL development required)
- Direct PCB layout activities to ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI robustness, manufacturability, and compliance
- Lead board bring-up, electrical debug, validation, and root-cause analysis in lab environments
- Develop validation methodologies, electrical test plans, and debug frameworks used across programs
- Drive resolution of electrical issues across prototype and production builds
- Drive electrical design for size, weight, and power (SWaP)-constrained systems, including power distribution, power integrity, efficiency, and thermal considerations
- Partner closely with mechanical, systems, and embedded software teams to ensure seamless system-level integration
- Guide DFM/DFT strategy and support transition from prototype to production with manufacturing teams
- Oversee and interpret electrical analysis, modeling, and simulation efforts to de-risk architectures
