Senior Staff Accountant - Business Management
About the role
The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making within the Business Management department. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with divisional leaders, lead client meetings, and have years of experience in Financial and Tax Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of financial statements preparation and analysis
- Supervision of accounting processes and procedures
- Management and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Review and approval of journal entries
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Aid in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Guidance and support to junior staff
- Development and implementation of financial controls
- Analyzing financial data and preparing reports for the Partners
- Identification of areas for process improvements and implementation of solutions
- Collaboration with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
- Review and correction of financial statements and general ledgers
- Preparation and review of tax packages
- Review of client cash flow reporting packages
- Review of 1099 packages, Los Angeles City Business renewals, Business Property Statement filings, and other government/local filings
Requirements
- AgilLink experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Competency in reading and recording Brokerage accounts
- Ability to work with complex financial data and perform data analysis
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements
- Ability to prepare client meeting packages
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Four + years of accounting and business management experience
- BSc/BA in business management, accounting, finance, or relevant field, MSc/MA, CFP and/or CPA is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of CCH systems
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Basic Tax knowledge (personal and business)

Pay
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
