Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

A leading technology and engineering company supporting critical government missions, is seeking a skilled professional to manage and migrate complex database systems. This organization provides innovative solutions in defense, space, civilian, and intelligence markets, ensuring national security and advancing technology. The Role Lead SQL migration from on-premises to AWS and Azure cloud environments. Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery strategies for SQL environments targeting AWS and Azure Cloud. Provide expert installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of enterprise database systems. Oversee and lead migration projects, including lift-and-shift and re-platforming efforts to AWS and Azure Cloud. Mentor other DBAs on AWS and Azure Cloud practices and contribute to automation initiatives. Ensure the security, availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical SQL Server databases. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration. Strong expertise in SQL Server administration across on-premises, AWS, and Azure Cloud environments. Proven experience in planning and executing cloud migration projects for SQL databases, including Always-On and SQL Cluster. SQL Server and AWS or Azure Cloud certifications are required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Hands-on experience managing large, high-availability environments and troubleshooting performance issues.
