About the role

The Valuation Services team within the Private Markets division is seeking a Senior Analyst to deliver valuation services and support to Venture Capital and Private Equity clients across the US and APAC regions. This role focuses on ASC 820 valuations for fair value reporting within a collaborative, problem-solving team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform portfolio valuations for VC/PE funds and business valuations of early-stage venture-backed companies with complex capital structures, adhering to AICPA standards for Fair Value.
• Lead client engagements, including gathering and reviewing source data, project management, timeline and deliverable communication, and audit support.
• Set up valuations for new clients during onboarding and lead training sessions on platform usage; assist the Implementation team with interpreting financial and legal documents.
• Collaborate with Client Engagement and Support teams to respond to client requests and resolve inquiries.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of proprietary valuation models and software platforms.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience, specifically involving ASC 820.
• Strong understanding of private markets valuation methodologies, including Black-Scholes OPM, with the ability to perform valuations for VC/PE portfolios and early-stage companies with complex capital structures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• CPA, CFA, or another relevant designation (preferred).
• Familiarity with SaaS business models (preferred).

Pay

Anticipated base salary range: $68,000 to $110,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
