As a Senior Generative AI & ML Specialist Solutions Architect, you will be a senior individual contributor requiring deep technical expertise, customer engagement at developer and executive levels, and the ability to deliver impactful technical thought leadership through 1:many webinars and workshops with excellent public speaking skills.
The AGS Specialist organization is part of the customer-facing North America (NAMER) sales organization, responsible for driving revenue and accelerating adoption of cloud and partner services across diverse customer segments. We work backwards from our customers’ most complex and business-critical challenges to develop and execute go-to-market plans that transform ideas into scalable, high-impact businesses.
Responsibilities
- Educate and influence customers at scale (60% of time) with deep technical knowledge, thought leadership, and excellent communication skills via 1:many webinars, hands-on workshops, AWS blogs, and solutions in GitHub to help customers accelerate building/enhancing their Agentic AI applications.
- Engage with senior engineers, architects, product leaders, data scientists, and executives at strategic enterprise customers in 1:1 engagements to understand their pain points and requirements, influencing architectural decisions.
- Design solutions leveraging the AWS cloud platform and AWS AI/ML services, including SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon AgentCore, Kiro, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Personalize, and other AI/ML services.
- Demonstrate expertise in ML and AI applied concepts such as model fine-tuning, MLOps, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, token & latency optimization, agent evaluations, AI governance, MCP servers, context engineering & optimization, security & safety for AI agents, and loop engineering.
- Build rapid proof-of-concepts for Agentic AI and ML applications based on customer needs.
- Partner with Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment in the Americas for AWS services.
- Evangelize AWS ML services and share best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and AWS service teams (e.g., Amazon Bedrock) to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
- Advise senior technical and executive stakeholders on architectural trade-offs, risks, and long-term strategy.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of GenAI-related subject matter experts in the Americas.
A day in the life
- Lead architecture and best practices discussions on security, safety, costs, latency, and accuracy aspects of AI applications.
- Rapidly develop proof-of-concept (POC) or demo within hours for upcoming customer conversations to earn their trust.
- Contribute to AWS blogs and test new AWS service features before release.
- Provide detailed, data-driven feedback to AWS service teams for product feature enhancements.
- Create slides and demos for webinars and hands-on workshops involving multiple AI & ML services, networking, storage, database, and analytics services.
- Lead, orchestrate, and deliver 1:many webinars and workshops.
- Engage with business and technical leaders in 1-2 day experience-based acceleration events with customers.
- Collaborate with sales and demand generation teams to drive registrations, attendance, and follow-ups for webinars/workshops.
- Provide weekly market and customer insights that may become part of monthly business reviews with AWS service and sales leaders.
- Propose ideas by writing 1-pager documents and seek feedback from peers and leaders.
- Mentor, hire, and develop top talent on technical and leadership skills.
- Go above and beyond by developing agentic skills and automation to reduce manual processes and improve team productivity.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- 2+ years of working with Data & AI-related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage.
- Hands-on experience with AI services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- Cloud Technology Certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering).

Pay
The base salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $153,600 - $207,800 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
