As a Senior Generative AI & ML Specialist Solutions Architect, you will be a senior individual contributor requiring deep technical expertise and executive-level customer engagement. This role focuses on helping customers evaluate, design, and adopt AWS as their strategic platform for Generative AI and ML workloads. The AGS Specialist organization is part of the customer-facing NAMER sales organization, responsible for driving revenue and accelerating adoption of cloud and partner services across diverse customer segments.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer business challenges into solutions leveraging AWS, defining, designing, and deploying targeted architectures that accelerate adoption of AWS Generative AI and ML services.
  • Engage with senior engineers, architects, product leaders, data scientists, and executives at strategic enterprise customers to influence architectural decisions and provide structured feedback to AWS product teams.
  • Build proof-of-concepts for AI- and agent-enabled applications, collaborating with partners in the AI ecosystem (e.g., Anthropic, Meta, Mistral).
  • Work with customers’ development and data science teams to understand their business and technical needs, then design solutions using AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon AgentCore, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon QuickSight, and Amazon Personalize.
  • Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment in the AMERICAS for Amazon SageMaker and related GenAI services.
  • Act as a thought leader by evangelizing AWS ML services and sharing best practices through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent).
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and AWS service teams (e.g., Amazon Bedrock) to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
  • Develop and support an internal AWS community of GenAI subject matter experts in the AMERICAS.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Hands-on expertise in traditional ML concepts as well as current areas such as LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, AI system evaluation, prompt engineering, agents, and AIOps.
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.

  • USA, CA, Irvine: $153,600 - $207,800 USD annually
  • USA, GA, Atlanta: $153,600 - $207,800 USD annually
  • USA, IL, Chicago: $153,600 - $207,800 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York: $169,000 - $228,600 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin: $153,600 - $207,800 USD annually
