About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data Testing Engineer to validate data integrity, quality, and accuracy across data warehousing, ETL, and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database testing, ETL validation, and data quality assurance with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies throughout the data lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test cases for ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and reporting solutions.
  • Validate source-to-target data mappings and transformation logic.
  • Perform data quality, data reconciliation, and data integrity testing.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to validate large datasets.
  • Analyze data discrepancies and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for data pipelines.
  • Validate reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Create test plans, test strategies, and test execution reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and database testing experience (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in ETL testing using Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse and Data Lake architecture.
  • Knowledge of data validation, data profiling, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or HP ALM.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with automation frameworks for data testing.
  • Hands-on exposure to Python or PySpark for data validation.
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Exposure to GenAI-based testing tools and AI-assisted test automation.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job level, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Other forms of compensation may include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive pay, and other forms of bonus or variable compensation.
