Work location
This position is mostly remote, but team members must reside within 50 miles of a Baker Tilly office in Texas (Dallas/Frisco), Wisconsin (Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton, Janesville, Eau Claire), or Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Clarks Summit, Lancaster, Allentown, Pittston, State College, Williamsport, New Castle).
Responsibilities
- Client Service & Deliverables
- Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their specific payroll system and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review and/or process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines, including updating employee records, calculating/paying bonuses or severance, reviewing accuracy of federal and state income-related tax calculations, and reconciling payroll deposits, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.
- Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer’s contributions for social security and unemployment.
- Client Service
- Establish strong and trusted client relationships by effectively consulting on all payroll-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee data.
- Convey detailed information accurately in both written and verbal formats.
- Provide technical software support to clients.
- Identify and accurately capture out-of-scope work.
- Identify new opportunities to expand services to clients.
- Implementation & Technology
- Serve as an additional resource to the implementation team as needed.
- Interview clients to understand payroll needs.
- Manage new client implementation projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
- Individual and Team Development
- Act as a resource to new hires or less experienced staff regarding clients, software, payroll, and processes.
- Provide honest and timely feedback to new hires or less experienced staff.
- Build team capabilities and knowledge by sharing insights and lessons learned.
- Research and maintain product knowledge on ADP software platforms.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll practices and laws.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant payroll experience.
- Experience with ADP WFN software and implementation.
- CPP certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The pay rate range for this position is $49,500 to $118,990. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
