About the role
The Assembly, Integration, and Test Focus Factory at L3Harris is seeking a Test Engineer in the Vibration Lab. This position involves providing engineering services to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity associated with the design and test of highly complex optical sensing spaceflight hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute complex Vibration, Modal, and/or Static Load tests
- Analyze dynamic test requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Physically configure designed tests’ instrumentation and troubleshoot any anomalies
- Work independently and support multiple projects in various stages of readiness
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, within and outside of the function
- Develop and execute procedures and document results
- Be willing to work overtime, shift work (nights), extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work in a clean room environment, up to and including full clean room suit
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills
- Active security clearance: Top Secret / SCI with polygraph
- Experience with high reliability, aerospace products test and verification
- Experience with AeroPro FlexTest, FlexDAQ systems
- Experience with DataPhysics or Siemens software
- Experience with vibration control systems
- Experience working in a clean room environment with electrostatic considerations for sensitive hardware
- Experience with being a functional team leader and/or integrated product team lead
