Senior Specialist Information Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Information Analyst to join our small, highly talented and growing team. You will collaborate to ensure a robust foundation for the accountability, transparency, and secure use of personal identifiable data in the delivery of essential health and care digital systems in health and social care.

Working within the Information Governance and Assurance Team, you will provide expert Data Protection Practitioner support that directly informs the development and delivery of digital services from a data privacy perspective for health and care professionals and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and evaluation of business/management processes and systems from a data protection compliance perspective.
• Ensure the secure and appropriate use of citizens’ data in NHS Scotland.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team at the edge of technological innovations.
• Work at pace and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data protection compliance, including the design and evaluation of processes and systems.
• Clear understanding of privacy legislation, particularly in the context of health and care data.
• Highly experienced in Information Governance and Data Protection legislation.
• Ability to work on your own initiative, organise and prioritise workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, care, and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary.

Schedule

Fixed-term or secondment until 31 March 2028, full-time (36 hours per week). For NHS applicants, a secondment will be offered in the first instance. For non-NHS applicants, a fixed-term or secondment would be considered.
