Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of PLSQL packages, procedures, and functions ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues including performance bottlenecks and query optimization.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to design and implement dimensional models supporting analytics.
• Participate in database migration, upgrades, and patching activities to ensure system stability and security.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Cookordination with stakeholders to prioritize and manage database development tasks and deliverables effectively.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance their Oracle PLSQL and data modeling skills.

Requirements

Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database management systems.

Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

Proficiency in using Oracle tools and best practices for monitoring and tuning database performance.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of industry best practices and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and database administration.

Experience with Oracle Analytics and dimensional modeling is preferred.
