Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

Location: New Jersey, USA (Eastern Time Zone) – 3 days onsite per week.

About the Role

Lead the migration from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration in a large-scale, onsite project. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders in the insurance domain.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute ETL/ELT processes for data migration from legacy systems to Informatica IICS.
• Apply Data Warehousing concepts and work with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and Teradata.
• Leverage modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Implement Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Data Modeling solutions.
• Optimize performance and tune ETL processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Review requirements, estimate work effort, and contribute to project planning and risk management.
• Mentor team members and evolve best practices, including AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage project deliverables.

Requirements

• 7–11 years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration.
• Proven experience in large-scale migration projects from legacy systems.
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development, Data Warehousing, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata).
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficiency in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Data Modeling.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work onsite in New Jersey/NYC.
• Insurance domain knowledge is highly desirable.

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location, job level, skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include annual performance-based bonuses, sales incentives, or other variable compensation.
