  • Responding to inquiries from various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Using multiple systems to process complex corporate actions, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending instructions to third parties, and posting transactions.
  • Contributing to the development of documentation that is shared with the market.
  • Offering guidance and support to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Specialist, Corporate Actions, you will:

  • Manage and control high levels of risk and liability in corporate action functions.
  • Ensure compliance with custody and accounting processing requirements.
  • Work with organizational units to address corporate action events appropriately.
  • Determine the impact of moderately complex corporate action events and communicate this information to relevant parties.
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of corporate actions with industry standards and practices to provide solutions to clients.
  • Review and verify cash reconciliations, security and suspense transactions, and adhere to established quality control measures.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, investment managers, sub-custodians, and custodians.
  • Use multiple systems to perform complex corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending client instructions to third parties, and posting online cash and security transactions.
  • Participate in the development of documentation that is circulated to the market.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced staff, providing a strong understanding of all corporate action procedures, events, and market practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of total work experience, preferably in financial services or corporate actions.
  • Strong understanding of the corporate action lifecycle, particularly voluntary reorganizations.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
