About the role
The Senior Specialist, Business Proposals (Transactional) collaborates with Attorneys, Business Development, and Knowledge Management team members on transactional-related new business pitches, responses to RFPs, and other business development efforts. This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid).
Responsibilities
- Drafts pitches, proposals and RFPs in collaboration with lawyers in the global transactional practices.
- Manages the process from start to finish.
- Collaborates with other department members, including Business Development, Strategic Intelligence, Experience Design, Operations, and GATS operating system to produce a variety of products in connection with individual transactional partner and practice business development efforts.
- Liaises with other firm administrative departments (such as Client Accounting, Finance, and Technology) to obtain clear relationship data for new proposals and presentations.
- Works with Transactional attorneys and others in the Global Business Development, Marketing & Communications Department to develop regular pitch proposal reports and strategy for relevant practice meetings.
- Collaborates with Business Development colleagues to ensure that the marketing materials for each Transactional practice group are current, accurate and complete.
- Works in conjunction with Firm experience team to research/draft relevant Firm and partner transactional experience, as well as gather yearly statistics for use in marketing collateral and presentations.
- Combines and leverages internal and external research/knowledge to develop new business presentations and other products.
- Maximizes utilization of the Firm's technology to prepare and deliver products; and coordinates optimal storage, maintenance and sharing of work product.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Complies with and understands Firm operations, policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates close attention to detail.
- Able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Able to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of relevant marketing/business development experience in a professional services firm environment.

This position is based in our New York office (hybrid).
Pay
The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
Salary Details
$125,000 - $150,000
