Senior Specialist - Architecture

About the role

Seeking a Technical Writer with experience documenting application modernization migration and enterprise platforms. The role will work closely with Python Migration Engineers, Java Developers, Architects, DBAs, QA and Operations teams to create and maintain technical operational and user documentation throughout the Perl to Python and Perl to Java transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain architecture design and migration documentation.
• Document legacy to modernization mappings, application flows, and component designs.
• Develop Technical Design Documents (TDD), High-level Designs (HLD), and Low-level Designs (LLD).
• Create installation, deployment, and configuration guides for Python and Java applications.
• Document Airflow workflows, Spring Batch, Camel orchestration processes, APIs, and data flows.
• Prepare operational runbooks, support guides, monitoring procedures, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Create knowledge transfer materials for support operations and business users.
• Maintain documentation repositories in Confluence, SharePoint, Git, or similar platforms.
• Ensure documentation aligns with compliance audit and governance requirements.
• Cook up with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to keep documentation current.

Requirements

• 5 years of technical writing experience in software IT projects.
• Strong understanding of application development and modernization projects.
• Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Draw.io, and MS Office.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to Python, Java, APIs, databases, DevOps, and cloud platforms.
• Experience in Financial Services or enterprise application modernization programs.
