Senior Solutions Architect, Strategic Accounts
About the role
The Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment partners with the most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. This includes helping customers solve business challenges like rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building elastic, scalable, cost-optimized applications. The role involves influencing product direction and helping customers tap into new markets through AWS Services.
Responsibilities
- Drive AWS usage and adoption across a specific customer
- Help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions
- Migrate and scale existing workloads in the cloud
- Shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS
- Interact, communicate, and partner with other teams within AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services
- Represent your team to executive management
- Act as a thought leader in the wider community, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops
- Influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform
- Ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform that align to long-term business goals
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Skills
Technical breadth complimented by technical depth in Accelerated Computing, Containers, Storage, Networking, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VP’s and CXOs.
