Senior Solutions Architect, Strategic Accounts

About the role

The Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment partners with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. This role involves helping customers solve business challenges like rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost-optimized application. The role also includes influencing product direction and helping customers tap into new markets by leveraging AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Drive AWS usage and adoption across a specific customer.
• Engage with product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets.
• Identify patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across an industry segment or a set of customers.
• Enhance and grow your own skills while enhancing and growing the broader Solutions Architecture team.
• Shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS.
• Interact, communicate, and partner with other teams within AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services.
• Represent your team to executive management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
