About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect Academic to bring the latest NVIDIA products from research labs to operational AI factories. This role involves working with commercial and government groups worldwide, contributing to the development of AI and data analytics, and building some of the largest and fastest AI/HPC systems.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and validate AI/HPC infrastructure in Linux-based environments for first-of-a-kind NVIDIA hardware.
- Create and handover related documentation and perform knowledge transfers required to support customers as they deploy sophisticated systems.
- Provide feedback to internal teams such as opening bugs, documenting workarounds, and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
- 6+ years of in-depth support and deployment services, solving problems for hardware and software products.
- Knowledge and experience with Linux system administration/dev ops, process management, package management, task scheduling, kernel management, boot procedures, troubleshooting, performance reporting/optimization/logging, and network-routing/advanced networking (tuning and monitoring).
- Experience in configuring, testing, validating, and resolving LAN and InfiniBand networking issues, including the use of validation tools like ibdiag and UFM.
- Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.) and automation tooling background (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
- Familiarity with schedulers such as SLURM, LSF, UGE, etc., and Kubernetes experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deliver resolutions for customer issues as they arise.
- Strong self-organizational skills and ability to prioritize/multi-task easily with limited supervision.
- A willingness to travel to customer sites within the United States.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Cluster management technologies knowledge (bonus credit for BCM (Base Command Manager)).
- Experience with GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) focused hardware/software.
- Experience with MPI (Message Passing Interface).
- Familiarity with storage technologies such as Lustre or GPFS.
- Familiarity with Dell and Supermicro GPU platforms.
Benefits
NVIDIA offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $148,000 - $235,750, along with equity and benefits. Applications are accepted until July 18, 2026.
