Senior Solutions Architect, EdTech, WWPS

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate its growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. This role involves helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions, including AI/ML and Generative AI services, and providing technical guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
• Proactively identifying and driving resolution of technical escalations before they become blockers
• Defining implementation architectures
• Responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies, particularly AI/ML and Generative AI services
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services

Requirements

• Technical presentation experience, whiteboard, small and large group presentations
• Cloud computing, AI/ML or Generative AI experience preferred
• Operational, web site/services operations, management, and security experience
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC2, or FERPA
• Experience working with Education or EdTech customers in K-12 or Higher Education
• Experience with data and analytics architectures including data lakes, streaming, and business intelligence solutions

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Skills

• Technical, web services development/deployment experience
• Proactive problem-solving and customer service skills
• Ability to travel 25-30%

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

• USA, NY, New York - $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington - $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
