Senior Solutions Architect – AWS WWPS Partner Team (Defense & Maritime), WWPS N/R SI Solution Architects
About the role
The Senior Solutions Architect will lead technical strategy and architecture for a rapidly scaling defense-sector partner with significant infrastructure investment. They will own end-to-end solution architecture spanning compute, data, ML, and supply chain operational tooling. The role involves operating as a trusted advisor at the executive level, providing thought leadership, and collaborating with sales and business development teams to drive partner success.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for a rapidly scaling defense-sector partner with significant infrastructure investment
- Own end-to-end solution architecture spanning compute, data, ML, and supply chain operational tooling
- Operate as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS-native architectures
- Provide thought leadership and capture best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community
- Collaborate with world-class sales and business development teams to drive partner success
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
- Experience with IoT, HPC, AI/ML workloads, data engineering pipelines, and operational tooling on AWS
- U.S. Navy Operations or Logistics background, or equivalent military experience in mission-critical systems
- Hands-on experience managing complex multi-node supply chains with zero tolerance for failure
