Senior Software Engineering Manager - Pharmacy Systems

Position Summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Pharmacy Systems to join a high-energy and growing team. This role involves working on applications and products that are at the forefront of digital innovation, aiming to reinvent pharmacy and healthcare services.

Expectations For The Role

• Partner with application owners, business partners, and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business objectives.
• Analyze and contribute to project and business requirements based on product team milestones and priorities.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum team activities including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Scrum, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Work on Backend Application development & delivery, including production deployment, application operationalization, and observability.
• Build and deploy services using GitHub Actions as part of CI/CD process in leading Cloud Platforms - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Continuously check and monitor app health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as and when needed.
• Advocate for and implement security best practices.
• Adopt and apply industry technology best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ overall years of software development experience, including 5+ years of backend software development experience with languages/tools such as React, Angular.
• 3+ years of leadership experience, directly managing individual contributors.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing highly available, performant, scalable Front End focused products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and operating large scale distributed systems.
• Strong desire to see others succeed by mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision making.
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development methodology.
• Healthcare domain experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $130,295.00 - $260,590.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
