Senior Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects using a variety of programming languages (Examples: Java, Python, Rust, C++)
• Create and maintain a scalable, high-availability, mission system using modern system design principles
• Create docker containers and/or Kubernetes pods and clusters
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Affiliate with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
• Generate automation scripts as appropriate to improve workflow and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Poly required
• Bachelor's OR 4 year's additional experience may be substituted for Bachelor's
• 15+ years of SWE experience
• 10+ years using the following: Javascript, Typescript, React, Java, Spring Framework
• Docker, Kubernetes, Rabbit MQ, TomCat Admin

• VTG's estimated starting pay range is $210K-$250K annually

Pay

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $210K-$250K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
