Senior Software Engineer, Web Platform

About the Opportunity:The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, WEB PLATFORM is responsible for advancing the core web platform that supports the organization's main site. This role focuses on designing scalable architecture, enhancing performance, and improving developer tools to maintain and grow a high-traffic web presence. The position contributes by leading complex projects that optimize platform reliability, developer experience, and global performance, impacting hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Responsibilities:Design and improve the web platform architecture and developer tooling.Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-service initiatives related to asset delivery, HTML processing, observability, and reliability.Maintain high quality standards through code reviews, design documentation, and feedback.Establish and promote engineering standards and mentor junior and mid-level engineers. Requirements:Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.Experience with performance tracing, profiling, and operational health monitoring.Knowledge of AI workflows and tooling for web development and debugging.Experience designing and maintaining robust APIs using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, HTTP, or Thrift.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Pay Range and Compensation Package:Base salary range: $190,800 to $267,100 USDEligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.
