About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Web based in United States. This is a front-end-first full-stack engineering role focused on building the next generation of member-facing web experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and continuously improve high-quality, member-facing web applications using modern frontend technologies, prioritizing usability, accessibility, performance, reliability, and measurable user impact.
  • Own projects through the full development lifecycle, including problem definition, technical design, collaboration with Product and Design, iterative delivery, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Contribute across the full stack by working with frontend applications, APIs, backend services, data flows, and integrations with external or partner systems.
  • Help shape frontend architecture, including application patterns, state management, reusable components, testing approaches, observability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance delivery speed, engineering quality, long-term maintainability, and customer impact.
  • Partner cross-functionally to translate complex healthcare processes and workflows into simple, intuitive digital experiences.
  • Improve developer productivity through better tooling, documentation, testing practices, development workflows, and engineering standards.
  • Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to a culture built around ownership, collaboration, direct feedback, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, deploying, and operating production web applications.
  • Deep hands-on frontend expertise with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern web framework such as React.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, including state management, component design, browser behavior, performance optimization, accessibility, and testing.
  • Demonstrated experience creating responsive, accessible, reliable web experiences that address real customer or member needs.
  • Full-stack development experience with the ability to contribute effectively to APIs, backend services, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Proven ability to make sound technical decisions in ambiguous environments and take projects from initial concept through production.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, decisions, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A pragmatic, collaborative, and execution-focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership, ask thoughtful questions, incorporate feedback, and deliver important work.
  • An interest in modern AI-assisted engineering practices and the ability to apply emerging development tools thoughtfully and responsibly.
